Meet Dr. Steven Rosenzweig

I’m Dr. Steven Rosenzweig. I’ve been practicing chiropractic for over 30 years. I’ve owned and been the clinic director of Diaspo for the past 20. I earned my undergraduate degree at SUNY Oneonta and my Doctor of Chiropractic at the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago (formerly the National College of Chiropractic). I am a member of The New York State Chiropractic Association. I’m also board-eligible in neurology, and I have additional training in electrodiagnostic and occupational health. I’ve always been interested in the health sciences. I was particularly attracted to the drugless approach of chiropractic. Chiropractic is very effective in helping patients with musculoskeletal complaints of the spine. When I’m not treating patients at Diaspo, I like to exercise as much as I can. Patients often ask me what exercises they should be doing, and my answer is always, “Ideally, something you might enjoy.” Practicing what I preach, I have cut back on a lot of “exercise for exercise-sake” and instead concentrate on hobbies that involve physical activity. In the warmer months, I enjoy open water ocean swimming, and I supplement this with pool swimming when ocean conditions are less favorable. This helps keep me in shape for surfing, which I do year-round. In winter, I often go skiing on the slopes. Any time of the year, you can find me on the trails, in the mountains, or fat tire biking. With any remaining free time, I enjoy live music, theater, exploring the city, and spending time with friends and family.

What to Expect from Your First Visit to a No-Fault Chiropractor

Visiting a chiropractor after an accident can be a significant step toward recovery, especially if it’s your first visit. Here at Middle Village Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, our team makes the experience comfortable, thorough, and aligned with your needs. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect from your first visit to a No-Fault Chiropractor in Middle Village.

Patient Intake and Medical History

Your initial consultation will begin with paperwork to gather basic information and review your medical history, including any injuries, pain points, or symptoms you’re experiencing. This helps the chiropractor understand the scope of your injuries and any underlying issues related to your accident.

Examination and Assessment

After reviewing your history, a physical examination is conducted to assess your body’s current state. This may include testing reflexes, joint mobility, muscle strength, and spinal alignment. Since Middle Village Chiropractic and Physical Therapy specializes in treating accident-related injuries, our team is trained to identify trauma-related issues that may require additional care.

Diagnostic Imaging

To ensure a thorough understanding of your condition, our chiropractor may recommend diagnostic imaging, such as X-rays or an MRI. These images can reveal hidden injuries, such as soft tissue or spinal injuries, that may not be visible during a physical exam.

Personalized Treatment Plan

Your No Fault Chiropractor in Middle Village will create a customized treatment plan based on the findings of your exam and diagnostic results. At Middle Village Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, treatment plans often include a mix of chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy exercises, and possibly additional therapies like spinal decompression or heat therapy.
